Brad joined Benecon in September 2008. He is the Executive Vice President of Actuarial Services & Business Development.
In the actuarial services department, Brad helps provide support for the producer community and clients of Benecon’s consortium programs. Brad is uniquely positioned in the marketplace with over twenty years of actuarial experience working for both an insurance company and the broker community. He truly believes the insurance carriers are misrepresented regarding the valuable role they fill in the healthcare market and believes a large part of his job is clarifying the health benefits financing dynamic and the value of the insurance carriers, to employer groups. Brad also works internally on all Benecon inter-department strategic endeavors and new business opportunities inside and outside of Pennsylvania.
“During my time at Benecon, I’ve seen tremendous growth in our company but also growth in the cost of providing health care. I believe my role is to truly ensure our clients pay the appropriate price for safe coverage so they can provide the best benefits possible to their employees.”
Prior to joining Benecon, Brad spent ten years in the actuary department at Capital BlueCross. He began his career with Deloitte Consulting in NYC after graduating from Penn State University with a degree in actuarial science. While at Penn State Brad was a varsity letterman on the men’s basketball team. In October 2011, Brad was honored by Central Penn Business Journal as one of the “Top 40 Business Executives” under the age of 40. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
